FTCCI, Turkey tie up to boost trade

Trade body, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) on Wednesday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey in Hyderabad, to take forward trade and investment discussions between Telangana and Turkey.

Hyderabad: Trade body, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) on Wednesday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey in Hyderabad, to take forward trade and investment discussions between Telangana and Turkey.

The MoU was signed at 'Business Matchmaking' meeting held in the city with Turkey business delegates, organised by FTCCI. The meet was arranged to understand more about Turkey and their business requirements. The MoU was signed in the presence of Orhan Yalman Okan, Hyderabad Turkish Consulate General, Turkey; Suresh Kumar Singhal, vice-president, FTCCI; Hulya Gedik, Chairperson, Turkey-India Business Council, Turkey and others.

Suresh Kumar Singhal, Vice-President, FTCCI said, "Telangana has been growing consistently and there are great opportunities to expand trade and investment. Cooperation can be looked into fields such as agritech, education, IT technologies, life sciences, pharma, real estate and infrastructure, energy, clean tech, aerospace and other similar sectors, by adopting latest technology."

During the meet, the officials have decided to meet once a year on an alternating basis in Turkiye and India to examine the achievements and opportunities in the fields of trade, investments, industrial and technological cooperation and on various forms of trade, finance, bilateral and international collaboration.
